also a windows installer window is continuously on the screen even if i shut it down. it wont close out nor will it allow me to click the cancel button it says preparing to install and it looks like its stuck and the sandglass remains. can anyone suggest anything to remove these items. theyre such a pain. any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

I dont know about the first one but I know there is a spyware that calls itself Winzip that continuously installs itself on your computer without your consent. Its incredibly hard to get rid of, I had to continuously run virus removal and spyware removal programs and I finally managed to get rid of it somehow. All I know to say is to get yourself a good virus program (we have McAfee Antivirus and something called System Mechanic, which helps detect problems within your computer). Antivirus programs usually remove spyware as well, but it wouldnt hurt to get yourself a spyware program as well.

Also, there should be a tech support hotline number somewhere on the papers or box for the computer, if you dont have them anymore look up the website for whatever brand it is and you should be able to find a number there. If none of this works and you still havent gotten rid of those windows, I recommend taking it to a professional.
