I can't install Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 1.1 Service Pack 1 (KB928

I've asked this question before, and was directed to this troubleshoot:

My problem is that I don't have "Winzip" and if I did I wouldn't know how to "unpack" the files and "launch the KB928366" installer. If someone knows of a free Zip program and can help me with how to complete the aforementioned steps, I would be FOREVER grateful. I am really struggling with this. Thanks!

If you are trying to update through Microsoft's update home - that security update might not install without an restart of your computer first. For instance: download and install the other updates - restart and go back and download the update for .net framework. I have seen this happen on my school network.

better u download update from www.microsoft.com

if u need winzip, u can download it from www.download.com
go the add/remove programs and see if u have the latest one

.net framework 3.

if u have this one then there is no need for u to get the batch fot the 1.1.
I have never had windows update to use compressed files that need to be unzipped. Are you sure this is legitimately from microsoft? Go here and check out required updates:

You shouldn't need to unzip anything the official windows update site downloads. If these files are zipped, they will automatically unpack when they download.
