i am not sure but i could give you two options:

1- you could reinstal the printer Driver ... look for the CD that came with the ptinter and use it

2- if that didn't work, try to download "Framework.net" from Microsoft.com or you can google it

you have to install in the control panel window under printers and faxes then choose the wizard to set up the connection for you, once prompted choose the... find program manually then scroll down until you find your product name for the HP you are using. Or you can go to HP's web site and down load the drivers.
