Iam having a problem with my computer and have ended up getting all kinds of protection programs. I've had it scanned and probed and whatever else these things do. And yes, I even paid for some of them. One of the main problems is still there. "Microsoft.NET Framework" is staying on my screen and I literally can't turn off my computer. I shut it down by hand, but it's still not off. Now, I went to my Network Connections and it's showing that I'm DISCONNECTED from 'Broadband connections', and also my ISP. The only thing I'm connected to is "local area connections"! Why is that, and what do I do now??????? And is that what's causing my main problem or is it ANOTHER PROBLEM????
HELP!!!!!! Computer won't shut off!!!!?download windows xp
You have to re install windows as it seems that some of the files are corrupted. or repair windows.
HELP!!!!!! Computer won't shut off!!!!?ies internet explorer
maybe you could try re:installing it
Microsoft that is
wel 1st off dont pay for programs if you have no clue what your doing better is to take it to a tech but be ready to pay for some serious damage control
yup it sucks but backup and reformatt after you finish reformatting turn your firewall on right away and go to the microsoft site and keep updating and then restarting and then
updating again this may take 3 hours and lots of restarting
but you have to update windows xp or you might be at risk
especially if you visit bad websites.
If the operating system is xp try the following
click start....click run....when the dialog box opens type in
chkdsk/f it will run in a black dos window whenit asks if you want to run checkdisk at start up say Yes or Y let the program finish running shut off pc and wait 30 seconds and restart it will do a chkdsk scan in preboot mode. and fix any errors.
If this does not solve problem. do the following
click Start click programs click accessories click system tools scroll to bottom and find System restore. When the dialog box opens select a date that was BEFORE all your problems started happening. let it run it should reboot itself
If none of these solves the problem go to http://www.pvazpc.com and send an email to the repairs upgrades people. ask rob to help ya. explain the problem
let him take over your pc thru Netmeeting and he can probably fix it for you or tell you what is going on.
Take out the battery and it will shut off. When you turn it back on go to start and then restore and restore to a couple of weeks ago it will get rid of everything that you have changed on the system. It really works I do all the time. Just follow the restore instructions they are great and take you through step by step. And if you don't want the new stuff you paid for cancel at the end of the month. Also with restore it may not even be on there and you might have to contact them to have it put back on if you really want it. So it's simple and Good luck
Relax, this is easy to fix.
As to your connections, those are normal for broadband. That's exactly what mine says now %26amp; I'm obviously connected to the internet.
The .NET Framework is something that Microsoft thinks everyone needs, but nobody does. I've installed it for specific uses %26amp; removed it numerous times.
1st--right-click an empty spot on the Taskbar, click Task Manager, click Processes, click .NET Framework %26amp; End Process. If it refuses to end, or comes back on, close Task Manager, click Start %26gt; Run, type msconfig, click OK, click Services tab, uncheckmark Hide All Microsoft Services, find .NET Framework %26amp; disable it, click Apply %26amp; OK, do the required restart. If you still can't turn it off, hold down the power button for 5-6 seconds untill it turns off. When it boots up you'll get a dialog box with a bunch of obscure language, click the box about Configuration Utility %26amp; click OK. You should be good to go!
If you want to remove .NET Framework, click Start %26gt; Settings %26gt; Control Panel %26gt; Add/Remove Programs, click .NET Framework, click Change/Remove.
