when i try to update my windows, it says it cant install this:

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1

and i think that without that i cant install my new zune software, so how do i get it on their or install the zune without it?

try this also

go to start-run-services.msc

scroll down to windows installer

start the service

then try install

You might already have a higher version of .NET. Open up control panel and find Add Remove Programs. Find the Microsoft .NET Framework installations and see what the highest version you have installed. If it's version 2.0 or 3.0 then you shouldn't need this service pack.
